10/20/2014 - Making Strides 2014 October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and ECR employees and their family members showed support for the cause by participating in the Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk. 35 ECR employees and family members braved the cold at the Masonic Care Community in Utica, NY on Sunday, October 19th and it looks like they had a lot of fun. Many thanks to the whole team for their hard work and fundraising efforts! The team raised over $3,300!
Making Strides is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting more than 270 communities to fund the fight against breast cancer. The event honors breast cancer survivors, educates people about how to reduce their breast cancer risk or find the disease early and raises funds to end breast cancer.
7/15/2014 - Boilermaker 2014 Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped with the 2014 Boilermaker Road Race. ECR International, one of the founding sponsors of the race, hosts the start line for the 14,000+ runners each year. Yesterday's event was a success, thanks in part to many past and present ECR employees and their family members. It was a great day! We are so proud of our ECR Corporate Cup Team, who proudly represented ECR International and broke some personal time records in the process. See you at the start line next year!
5/9/2014 - New Marketing Specialist Utica, N.Y. - ECR International, Inc. is pleased to announce that Leigh Ann Dillon has recently accepted the role of Marketing Specialist with ECR.
In this role, she will help to develop marketing plans and programs, assist with tradeshows, conduct market research, and provide sales team assistance. She will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Product Managers, and Regional Sales Managers to execute programs and provide support. She brings to the role over nine years of experience in the Marketing Industry and an educational background in Communications.

4/4/2014 - New Hydronic Product Manager Utica, NY – ECR international, Inc. is pleased to announce that Don DeCarr has been promoted to the position of Hydronic Product Manager.
Don has been with ECR since 2009 as a technical Service representative. Don will be responsible for leading cross functional product development teams while working closely with engineering, sales and key customers.
“Don’s experience with technical support and training provides ECR with a valuable voice of the customer as we develop products that meet their needs in terms of value, product features and ease of service and installation. 4/4/2014 - New Marketing Manager Utica, NY – ECR International, Inc. is pleased to announce that Joe Langlois has been promoted to the newly created position of Marketing Manager.
Joe will be responsible for promotional marketing campaigns, product management and marketing personnel. Joe has been with ECR international for 10 years and is the former Hydronic Product Manager.
Joe brings a wealth of experience in the HVAC industry to his new role. He has successfully led product development teams working closely with ECR customers and engineering team members.
3/27/2014 - Congressman Reed & ECR International Support Consumer Heating Choices Dunkirk, N.Y. – March 27, 2014 – Thomas W. Reed II, the U.S. Representative for New York's 23rd Congressional District and Ron Passafaro, Chairman of the Hydronics Institute, and President & CEO of ECR International recently met in Washington, DC. The two are allies in support of the boiler industry’s position on pending US Department of Energy minimum boiler efficiency standards to be determined this year and
implemented in 2020. Passafaro said “The challenge is in striking the right balance between efficiency and cost to consumers. As an industry, our member companies currently deliver boilers from an entry level
efficiency of 82% up to an ultra-efficient 95%, but efficiency is not one-size-fits-all. Consumers need choices that allow them and their professional contractor to select the best option for them, weighing such items as their specific heating application, venting options, system design temperature and of course price point.”
Representative Reed is fully engaged in the issue and will be assisting companies like ECR who employ hundreds of workers and have been manufacturing the Dunkirk Boiler and many other fine brands since 1928 in their factory at 85 Middle Road in Dunkirk, New York.
